I have been around the inside out understanding since the early part of 2014 and I’ve been looking in this direction ever since, immersing myself and going deeper through training programmes, reading material and videos. Here’s some of the ‘official’ programmes I’ve undertaken, but really all that’s needed to share this stuff is your own insight and a connection with and desire to help others.
Dr Amy Johnson – Life Coach Training 2016
Dr Amy Johnson is a psychologist and life coach who’s life and career shifted dramatically with this inside out understanding. Her book, ‘Being Human’ was one of the first that I came across in this field and it gave me my first duel ‘aha’ (insight) and Homer Simpson ‘doh’ (as in it’s so obvious how did I not see this before!) moments around the nature of thought. In 2016 I undertook Amy’s Life Coaching course and I am also a part of her coaching club group. I consider Amy a mentor of mine as she continues to support me in developing my understanding in this field.
Michael Neill – Creating The Impossible Programme – January – April 2017
Michael Neill is an internationally renowned transformative coach and author five best selling books, including ‘The Inside Out Revolution’ and ‘The Space Within.’ He has shared the inside out understanding to over 100,000 people over the past nine years. The Creating The Impossible Programme included weekly videos, daily audios, real-time coaching and access to a group of wonderful people, all on the same journey. The programme is designed to show participants what can happen when we tap into the creative force behind life.
Coaching Connect – Education Apprenticeship – February – August 2017
Liz Scott and Stu Newberry of Coaching Connect, have been coaching for 13 years. When they came across the inside out understanding in 2013, they completely shifted away from the traditional way of coaching as it just didn’t make sense to them anymore. As well as offering 1:1 coaching, Liz and Stu work mainly in education, sharing this understanding with leaders in schools. I am one of a handful of people undertaking their EdApp course, which is a mixture of live training, events, mentoring, coaching, assignments and so much more! Their knowledge and support is invaluable to me as a coach.
Three Principles Global Community (3PGC) and One Solution #WoW Mentor – April -October 2017
A new global initiative called the #WoW (Web of Wellbeing) Pilot Project was launched in April 2017. As a registered #WoW mentor I delivered 6 sessions to a local primary school, designed to introduce a simple and hopeful understanding that helps young people see their innate wellbeing and resilience more clearly.
The official launch of the #WoW Project will take place on 6th October and every year thereafter, there will be an official #WoW day where young people will create a web across the globe as they highlight the importance of their own mental health, wellbeing and happiness, all facilitated by #WoW mentors. To find out more visit www.webofwellbeing.org and be sure to follow #WoW on social media on 6th October.
The Cypress Initiative, SPARK Curricula Training and Membership
I am a member of the SPARK Curriculum which supports me in delivering the inside out understanding to children in primary and secondary schools. This curricula has been developed and used in the United States with great success by the Cypress Initiative and is being rolled out to facilitators across the globe, for delivery in schools and youth organisations. In August 2017, I will undertake 8 days of training with the Cypress Initiative.
